A late Victorian amethyst fringe necklace, with a row of graduated oval mixed cut amethysts, each one claw set in a pierced collet forming the centrepiece. Each collet joined by jump rings to a plain trace chain, back chain with a later rolled gold bolt ring clasp. Tested as approximately 9ct gold. Largest amethyst 18.20 x 13.10mm, 32.97g Condition report: Rolled gold bolt ring. Amethysts well matched. No chips or obvious faults.
