His seal and clerical scripts are particularly excellent; his flower paintings show vigorousness and sincerity. This album of ink plum blossoms, each leaf accompanied by an inscription in clerical script, demonstrates the strong influence of Jin Nong (1687-1763) on Zhao Tong's art.
