He was widely patronized by lovers of coaching, including Queen Victoria. Late Toronto businessman and avid art collector, Ross MacFadden, loved collecting these paintings and would often remark on the details in each. Mr. MacFadden was fascinated by Maggs who carried this painting's tradition well into the railway age.
