A Chinese Ormolu, Enamel and Paste-Set Striking, Musical and Automaton Clock 铜镀金嵌料石琺琅轉花荷塘跑鴨三面水法廣鈡 modeled in three tiers; the base section of rectangular form and set above cast beast-form feet, the front and side panes with cut-out painted metal paste-inset automaton scenes of lotus and ducks before spiral glass rods simulating waterfalls, the reverse with an openwork hinge door. The middle tier of rectangular section with canted corners, set within an openwork gallery with four leaf-wrapped baluster vases supporting paste gem-inset whirligigs at each corner. This section housing the clock enameled with Roman chapters, inset with paste borders to the blue enameled ground decorated with gilt and red flowers. The upper section containing the top drum with a spinning paste wheel set above gilt bronze supports enclosing spiraling glass rods for a further waterfall function, encircled by a further openwork gallery with four further spinning trees, and a ninth forming the top finial. 參照乾中後期經典廣鈡樣式。鈡分三層，上部為料石轉花；中部為青金石色半透明鏨胎廣琺琅，點綴花卉，明艷鮮净，鐘身內為走時機芯裝置，正面大明火琺琅鐘面，三針，周匝紅白料石相間，背面鏤空襯紅地；下層三面開窗，窗沿嵌料石，窗内為荷塘跑鴨活計，後設水簾式水法，鐘身內設有控制活計的機芯和報樂機芯。該鐘可每刻報樂，整點報樂、打點。報樂響起，各式轉花、水法、跑鴨連動，中部四周和頂部的傘狀轉花飛旋，令人目不暇接。 Height 35 1/2 x width 15 1/2 x depth 11 1/2 in., 90.2 x 39.4 x 29.2 cm.
