Attributed to Mather Brown (British, 1761-1831) Portrait of Henrietta Jeaffreson (d. 1826) half-length, in black, wearing an elaborate turban and pink roses at her breast oil on canvas 75 x 63cm Provenance: By descent from the sitter, great-great-great-great-grandmother of the present owner Footnote: The sitter who was the daughter of Lieutenant Colonel John Robinson (d. 1772) married firstly Anthony, de jure 11th Viscount Gormanston, who died in 1786. She married secondly in 1794 Lieutenant General Christopher Jeaffreson of Dullingham.
