PROVENANCE: From Audubon, New Orleans Private Collector. Dimensions: Heigth: 33.8 cm, Diameter: 16.6 cm Chinese Qing Dynasty Qianlong Blue and White Fu Bats Porcelain Gourd Vase. Potted in a shape of double gourd resemblance, with two bulbous bellies conjoined together, bulbous lower section finishing into a slender bottleneck at the top, suspending a cylindrical neck, raised on short rectangle foot base and slighty concave. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white base color which contrast against blue fine color, depicted of flying Fu Bats through scrolling ruyi, vapors and over thrashing lishui wavy waves. There is not any overlap of the outlines, its well carved, clear, subtle, and distinct.The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark. Made in The Years QianLong Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
