PROVENANCE: From Farragut, TN Private Collector. Dimensions: Heigth: 27.5 cm, Diameter: 18.5 cm Chinese Qing Dynasty Qianlong Ji Red Reward Porcelain Vase. The finest porcelain potted in reward shape vase, thick and tall, globular lower body, tapered gracefully toward straight tall cylindrical neck, with slight flaring mouth rim, raised on a short small round foot base with slight concave. Warm and uniform red glaze applied to the whole surface, only the upper mouth rim and outer bottom is white glazed. Red is the most important variety of China’s porcelain. It was originated in the Qing Dynasty. The red color of the packet symbolizes good luck, corresponding with fire, symbolizes good fortune and joy. The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark. Made in The Years QianLong Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
