A Victorian sterling silver vinaigrette, Birmingham 1848 by Edward Smith Of shaped oval form with waisted sides, the lid with a vacant C scroll cartouche, reserved with engraved foliate scrolls. The interior with a hinged pierced grill of foliate scrolls edged with serrated pattern. Together with another vinaigrette, Birmingham 1862 by Hilliard and Thompson. Of shaped rectangular form with waisted sides, the lid with a vacant shield shape cartouche, otherwise with foliate scrolls, suspension loop. The gilt interior with a hinged pierced grill of foliate scrolls. Each fully marked between lid and base, the Hillard and Thompson grill with duty mark only.
