A pair of late 19th century Austrian unmarked silver gilt gem set and enamel photograph frames, Vienna circa 1880 Each of oval form upon scroll feet with engraved easel struts. Each surmounted by openwork and enamel pediments formed as convolvulus flowers topped in either green or blue enamel, fitted with baroque pearls (untested). The frame bodies with painted enamel scroll sections set with either cabochon cut turquoise or garnets in a collet settings, interspaced between applied open work floral motifs set with three baroque pearls. The aperture with engraved engrailed edge, glazed. The reverse with engraved foliate scrolls. (2) Height – 13.5 cm / 5.4 inches
