A heavy mid-20th century Thai silver charger or dish, Chiang Mai circa 1960 Of shaped oval form with scalloped edge. The centre chased in deep relief of the mural from the Wat Phra Kaew in Bangkok, depicting the Ramakien scene where Hanuman becomes a giant and hides Phra Ram and Nang Sida in his mouth. The edges with the scene of Satrud fighting Suriyaphop, one chariot lead by leogryphs, the other horses, all against trees. The reverse signed Louis Silverware, 950 % 309 baht weight, then I.O 20.
