An early 20th century Iranian (Persian) silver vase, Isfahan circa 1930-40 Pahlavi dynasty, of inverted baluster form upon a spreading circular foot, with an everted neck with corded edge. The body with four shaped cartouches with engraved ghalam zani decoration of arabesques and scrolls, all reserved with deep chased monabbat-kari decoration of large peonies and flower heads with long tailed birds. The upper section with a rosette band below simple ring punching and above a shaped band of flower heads. The lower section with similar bands with peony cartouches. Marked underneath with standard mark (۸۴), also scratched D. Height – 16.5 cm / 6.5 inches Weight – 492 grams / 15.82 ozt
