A Victorian sterling silver standing cup, London 1883 by George Fox Of rounded circular form upon a pedestal stem with a compressed circular central knop. The body with embossed decoration of an asymmetrical rocaille C scroll vacant cartouche flanked by bouquets of flowers and rocaille scrolls, the opposing side with an embossed scene of a rower holding an oar. The foot with stylised acanthus leaves, the central knop with chased foliate scrolls. Fully marked to the edge. Height – 26.6 cm / 10.5 inches Weight – 518 grams / 16.65 ozt
