A pair of George III sterling silver salts, London 1771 by I.L in a serrated punch (unidentified, Grimwade 3652) Each of circular form with a guilloche rim, raised on three legs with hoof feet. The sides with pierced decoration of slats and with embossed swags and rosettes, an oval cartouche engraved with a crest of a lion sejant erect crowned. Each fitted with removable blue glass liners.
