A tempered steel Mughal horse wall bracket, India, 17th century, the finial in the form of a horse's head with turquoise inlaid eyes, the nostrils flaring, open mouth and erect pointed ears which stand proud from the head of the horse, the full cheeks of the horse are shown in profile, the smooth neck of the horse curves down to form a u-shape and then joins the horizontal spike tapering to a sharp point which would have secured the hook to the wall, 6.7cm high x 12.5cm diam. x 1cm deep Provenance: The Geoffrey and Fay Elliot collection.
