A Chinese Swatow Dish Of circular form, decorated in shades of underglaze blue, expressively painted with a stylised lotus pond scene, the centre with four cranes and insects among lotus flowers, encircled by a border of lotus and waves, the sides decorated with eight lotus sprigs divided by stylised ruyi-clouds, the exterior decorated with stylised rocks and waves against a dense lotus-scroll ground.
