A Chinese Famille Rose ‘Three Star Gods’ Dish Decorated with the Sanxing, the three Chinese ‘star gods’ of prosperity, status and longevity: ‘Fu Lu Shou’; on the left is Shouxing, the God of Longevity, holding a peach, Luxing, the God of Status in the centre in mandarin attire, and Fuxing, the God of Prosperity, on the right depicted in scholar’s dress and holding a scroll, they are accompanied by three young boys, one of whom holds a ruyi-sceptre, all encircled by a fine border of diaper pattern in underglaze blue, a band of fleur-de-lys in green reserved against a honeycomb pattern ground, the base glazed, with an apocryphal Yongzheng seal mark in iron red.
