Indonesia, Panjang, early 20th century. The slender and straight iron gandar (blade) with its protruding thorn-shaped ganja. Set with a copper Mendak and a delicately hand-carved wood Patra (handle), depicting either a stylized figure from the Wayang Kulit shadow theatre: The black finished wood pendok (sheath), decorated with two thin copper rings.

Condition: Fine condition with some wear and age hairlines to the wood. The sheath is segmented.
