AN EARLY JAVANESE KRIS PUTUT KEMBAR Indonesia, East Java, 19^th century. The straight iron gandar (blade) cast with twin figures praying to the bottom front and rear part of the ganja. Set with a metal Mendak studded with glass stones and a nicely carved wood Patra (handle), depicting a humanoid figure. The root wood and reddish wood pendok (sheath) with an appealing patina.
