Japan, mid to second half of 19th century
Each depicting the lucky god wearing a meticulously incised robe. The first standing on one foot in a dancing posture, one arm extended, a little minogame (thousand-year-tortoise) crawling up on his shoulder, good himotoshi ringed in mother of pearl through the back. The second depicting Jurojin seated with his companion stag which lies next to him, himotoshi to the underside.
HEIGHT 3.9 – 6.8 cm
Condition: Good condition with age cracks. The first with a chip to the robe.
