传世明清宣铜炉中，历来圆者多、方者少，方者样式主要见于马槽、台几。台几炉的样式于《宣德彝器图谱》二十卷本中有载，是为仿照唐天宝局铸台几宫炉、宋定窑台几炉而铸。 此炉体量不大，端正毓秀，窄平口，边缘微侈，缓凹颈，方折肩，长扁腹成浅斗式，底心平。器身两侧出双耳，和谐对称，平起曲收，灵动有致。四方柱形腿足承托器身，具外倾之势，乃与器身一体铸就而成。整器通体鎏金，装饰感强，包浆厚润，妙不可言。
