PROPERTY FROM A PRIVATE COLLECTION A Jade 'Rope-Twist' Conjoined RingsWarring States Each finely carved in mostly continuous spiral fluting arranged diagonally around the ring, the translucent celadon stone polished with mottled areas from burial. Each 1 3/8in (3.8cm) diam; 5/16in (0.9cm) thick 戰國 玉絞絲紋雙連環 Jade rings of this type are thought to belong to a large ensemble of necklace or dress pendant. The design loosely suggest a twisted cord or silk strand, and the technology of making the dense, fluted spirals is worth noting.
