Ca. Ø59mm, ca. 135g, 18K gold, remains of the PM punch visible, dome marked Horloge Breguet, case and movement with matching number 13332, signed P.M (Piguet & Meylan) under the dial, very fine movement with 2 barrels and stone cylinder escapement, early shock absorber, hour self-strike and quarter self-strike on gongs, repeater released by tiny pusher in the pendant, so called 'Trip-Repetition'. Trip repeater, under the bezel 2 sliders for the selection 'Sonnerie-Silence' and 'Grande Sonnerie-Petite Sonnerie', typical gold Breguet dial, blued Breguet steel hands, movement of outstanding quality, in very good condition. This watch suggests that thepanies Piguet & Meylan and Breguet had a partner and that this pocket watch made by Piguet & Meylan was sold through the house of Breguet. It is known that there were such partners, for example with Dubois and Dbaz. These watches also have 5-digit numbers between 13000 and 16000 and were signed Breguet. Piguet & Meylan made the finestplicated pocket watches, automatons and musical boxes and was the most important Geneva manufacturer for the Chinese market. Most of the movements werebined with musical movements or automata. A Grande & Petit Sonnerie movement by Piguet & Meylan is an absolute rarity!
