Tom Dixon (British B.1959), a prototype cherry wood and patinated steel coffee table, c.1989, The rectangular cherry wood table top inset with steel strips, with curved open steel ends above wavy frieze, on welded square tapering legs, 38cm high, 142cm wide, 56cm deep, Provenance : This prototype coffee table was designed by Tom Dixon in the late 1980's and assembled with metalwork made and supplied personally by Tom Dixon in the workshop of Windmill Furniture / Isokon Plus, which was then based in Chiswick. After this original prototype, approximately thirteen tables were subsequently produced with some details changed and sold to Joseph shops.Please refer to department for condition report
