曾中正師事江先生計廿六年，至1996年先生逝世為止，精勤承教，勵學不懈。質此之故，其書畫亦深得江先生心傳：以書入畫，以筆養墨，是以筆墨沈穩渾厚，而又佈色清雅，畫面生動自然。
曾中正書法出自歐陽詢，筆法勁秀，援以入畫：鉤、砍、劈、皴，乾淨俐落。兼又擅於用墨：焦、濃、淡、暈，層次豐富。更有甚者，施色潤澤清雅、明暗互映、五彩爭輝。畫風清澹雅秀、韻緻天成，曾獲江先生嘉許，以為其「畫面淨氣乃天性使然，非他人力倣可得。」
