A Kangxi-style box in form of a recumbent quail, painted in rich polychrome enamels in shades of green, yellow, aubergine, and black to decorate the bird's colorful wings and plumage, the plumage in relief. The interior in a rich green glaze.Provenance: Holzapfel collection, Geneva, Switzerland.
