A SMALL DOUCAI CUP AND SAUCER, LATE QING TO REPUBLICChina, late Qing dynasty (1644-1912) to Republic period (1912-1949). The cup with steep, slightly flaring sides, finely decorated with lingzhi and lilies to the exterior. The saucer with blossoms in the center and floral tendrils to the reverse. The recessed bases with an apocryphal six-character Yongzheng reign mark within a double circle.Provenance: Holzapfel collection, Geneva, Switzerland. This lot was acquired by second generation members of the Holzapfel family after 1990 and has remained in the family ever since.Condition: Excellent condition with minor manufacturing flaws such as minuscule glaze recesses.Weight: 57.4 g (total), 26.4 g (cup) and 31.1 g (saucer)Dimensions: Diameter 5.2 cm (cup) and 7.3 cm (saucer)
