A MIXED LOT OF 17 AGATE INTAGLIO SEALSCambodia, Oudong period (1618-1863). The lot comprising seventeen circular agate seals engraved with dynamic representations of birds, fish, human figures, conches, bulls, and a rabbit. The translucent stone of a reddish orange color with milky white cloudy inclusions.Condition: Good condition with traces of age and wear, some with grooves to the backside.Provenance: The collection of The Zelnik Istvan Southeast Asian Gold Museum. Institutional art collection in Belgium, acquired from the above. Dr. Istvan Zelnik, President of the Hungarian South and Southeast Asian Research Institute, is a former high-ranking Hungarian diplomat who spent several decades in Southeast Asia, building the largest known private collection of Asian art in Europe.
