A PAIR OF 'DRAGON' SILVER REPOUSSE BRACELETSThailand, 1920-1930. The adjustable bracelets crafted from Bakelite in imitation of tortoiseshell and tipped with a silver repousse dragon's head at one end and tail at the other, with two additional silver bands around the middle, all further embellished with fine filigree work.Condition: Overall good condition with minor wear, tiny losses, nicks, and dents.Provenance: The collection of The Zelnik Istvan Southeast Asian Gold Museum. Institutional art collection in Belgium, acquired from the above. Dr. Istvan Zelnik, President of the Hungarian South and Southeast Asian Research Institute, is a former high-ranking Hungarian diplomat who spent several decades in Southeast Asia, building the largest known private collection of Asian art in Europe.
