Of baluster form, the tall sides rising from a circular base to a wide shoulder, decorated in the imari colour palette in blue, green, red and aubergine highlighted in gold, the panels enclosing fenghuang among rockwork and foliate reserved against a ground of large peony and chrysanthemum blooms, the shoulder with pendant petal shaped panels enclosing lotus blooms, the domed cover similarly decorated and surmounted by a a finial of a karashishi.
