A CARVED BAMBOO 'SLEEPING BOY' PILLOW, QING DYNASTY China, 18^th century. Carved in the form of a recumbent boy on his stomach, his dimpled face turned to the right with a smiling expression, the arms wrapped around the underside, the feet bent up, the long robe incised with a foliate hem.

Provenance: North American trade.
Condition: Good condition with fine old wear, natural age-related cracks, few stains, minor losses, small nicks and dents, light surface scratches, a small hole to the base.
