A RARE PAIR OF GREEN GLAZED POTTERY FROGS, KANGXI PERIOD China, 1662-1722. Modeled as a pair of frogs, each perched on a short pedestal incised with double lines. Their face with bulging eyes and gaping mouths. Covered overall in an emerald-green gaze suffused with a fine network of crackles. (2)

Provenance: From a private estate in the United Kingdom. British trade, acquired from the above.
Condition: Very good condition with minor old wear and manufacturing flaws, one frog with two small chips to the base. The other with a minuscule glaze chip to the base.
