A LARGE BLUE AND WHITE 'PINE AND LINGZHI' DISH, 18TH CENTURY China. Painted in deep underglaze blue with a magnificent pine tree, bamboo stalks issuing from a rock, a fence and some lingzhi to the left, all surrounded by a distinct ruyi border framing the cavetto and a diaper band just below the café-au-lait rim.

Provenance: French trade.
Condition: Old wear, some firing flaws including kiln grit and dark spots, shallow surface scratches, minor chipping to rim and expected fritting to foot. Overall commensurate with age and size.
