A PAIR OF TURQUOISE GLAZED BUDDHIST LIONS, QING DYNASTY China, 18^th-19^th century. Modeled as recumbent Buddhist lions, their heads turned to the side, one with an open mouth revealing a set of sharp teeth and fangs, each resting one paw on a pierced brocade ball, covered overall in a bright turquoise glaze suffused with fine crackle and nicely darkening in the recesses. (2)

Provenance: French trade.
Condition: Good condition with old wear and some firing flaws, such as small firing cracks, the underside with minor glaze losses and few minuscule chips.

中國，十八至十九世紀。太獅戲球，獅頭側偏，大嘴張開呈咆哮狀，露出一排獠牙，爪子踩在一個錦球上。通體覆蓋著明亮的孔雀藍釉，釉面開片，非常漂亮。 凹處變暗。
