A FLAMBE-GLAZED WATER POT, 18TH CENTURY China. Finely potted with a globular body tapering towards a narrow mouth, overall covered in a finely crackled and streaked glaze of crushed strawberry and bluish-purple, thinning to mushroom at the rim, irregularly pooling in thick drops over the rim to the mushroom interior. The base left unglazed revealing the buff ware.

Provenance: From a private estate in the UK. British trade, acquired from the above.
Condition: Good condition with minor wear and manufacturing flaws, including glaze recesses, open bubbles and pitting, few small nicks and glaze flakes. The foot smoothened in some areas, probably inherent to manufacturing, due to the uneven glaze dripping along the foot rim which is expected from this type of ware.

十八世紀窯變釉水丞
中國。胎體緻密，球狀體上窄中寬，下收底，底足内凹。通體施藍紫色窯變釉，在邊緣變薄成蘑菇狀，在邊緣不規則地聚集成厚厚的釉滴。底座沒有上釉，露出淺黃色内胎。

來源：英國私人舊藏；英國古玩交易，購於上述收藏。
品相：狀況良好，有輕微磨損和製造缺陷，包括釉面凹陷、開放氣泡和麻點，少量小缺口和釉片剝落。足部局部平滑，可能是製造所固有的。
