A THANGKA OF A STUPA, TIBET, 18TH-19TH CENTURY Distemper and gilt on cloth. Depicting a golden stupa supported by a pedestal decorated with two lions, Amithaba seated at the dome, above the thirteen rings of spina centered by the sun and moon. Two lamas in the upper corners, and a lotus pond with reborn souls at the base of the stupa.

Provenance: From a noted Hungarian private collection.
Condition: Commensurate with age, creasing, browning, abrasions, and few small losses.
