A SEMI-OFFICIAL EMBROIDERED SILK VEST AND RANK BADGE, LATE QING DYNASTY China, 19^th century. Finely embroidered in satin stitch on black ground with a square pheasant rank badge to the center, flanked by four white pheasants to each corner, below a frontal facing dragon chasing the magical pearl amid scrolling clouds, all above crashing waves and a band of lishui. The bottom of the vest suspending a band of colorful tassels. The interior with light blue silk padding.

Provenance: From a North German private collection, acquired prior to 2007.
Condition: Some loose threads, traces of wear and use, minimal soiling, crisp colors. The rear section of the vest is lost.

中國，十九世紀。黑地緞紋刺繡，正中雉鷄補子，四角各有四隻白雉，下有一龍在祥雲中戲珠，上方是波濤洶湧的麗水紋。背心的底部懸掛著一條五顏六色的流蘇。淺藍色絲綢內襯。

來源：德國北部私人收藏，購於2007年。
品相：一些鬆線，磨損和使用的痕跡，輕微污漬，清晰的顏色。背心後部丟失。
