A CARNELIAN AGATE 'DRAGON CARP' SNUFF BOTTLE, 1740-1820 China. Well hollowed, carved in the form of a leaping dragon carp, its long fins wrapping around the sides, well detailed with large eyes, a horn, mane, scales and gills, the fins finely incised. The translucent stone of a white color with coral red areas and veins.

Provenance: North American trade.
Condition: Very good condition with minor old wear, few minuscule nicks.
