Chinese Blanc de Chine Dehua "Marco Polo" type 17th Century Porcelain Censer on 8 feet with impressed designs to sides and small loop handles below the mouth edge. Height 2 3/4 inches (7 cm.). NOTE: This design, based on one originally thought to have belonged to Marco Polo and now in the Paris Musee Guimet, is now considered 17th Century and sometimeses with cover and stand; other versions are in the collections of the British Museum, Queen Elizabeth II, the Mottahedeh Collection, etc. For a similar piece see: P.J.
