A GROUP OF FOUR CHINESE EMBROIDERED SILK ROBES 19th / 20th Century Comprising: a robe embroidered with boating scenes and floral sprays on a blue ground, the cuffs, collar and edges embroidered with landscapes, bamboo and prunus branches, the second blue-ground robe with butterflies hovering amongst finger citron, ripe pomegranates and flowering peonies, the third worked with large butterflies hovering over peony and lotus flowers on a dark-navy blue ground, the borders with chrysanthemum and prunus blossoms on an ivory ground, the fourth a blue robe with an immortal appearing before a kneeling figure, with large floral sprays, peach branches and butterflies, all on an ivory ground, the sleeves embroidered with auspicious objects and flowers, 111cm long, 133cm across; 95cm long, 144cm across; 114cm long, 132cm across; 100cm long, 114cm across (4) Provenance: private collection formed in the 1990s. 十九/二十世紀 刺繡絹袍一組四件 來源: 私人收藏。
