A SPINACH-GREEN JADE ARCHAISTIC POURING VESSEL AND COVER, YI 19th centuryA SPINACH-GREEN JADE ARCHAISTIC POURING VESSEL AND COVER, YI19th centuryThe stepped sides extended on one side forming the spout, opposite an archaistic chi dragon loop handle, all supported on three ruyi bracket feet below a flat base, the body carved in relief with stylised Indian lotus divided by a narrow rope-twist border, the stone of spinach-green tone with occasional black inclusions. 15cm (6in) wide.十九世紀 碧玉番蓮紋仿古匜The shape of the present lot was inspired by a bronze wine pouring vessel from the Eastern Zhou dynasty, yi, and the Indian lotus motif came from Hindustan influence, which made the vessel a combination of the East and West. Similar design with Indian lotus is found on a white jade archaistic pouring vessel in the Baur Collection, illustrated in The Baur Collection: Chinese Jades and other Hardstones, P.F. Schneeberger, Geneva, 1976, pl.B73.碧玉質，蓋穹頂，捉手雕兩層弦紋，蓋頂浮雕四面繩紋，其內淺浮雕番蓮紋一朵，蓋與身子母口，仿古螭龍形雙鋬，短流，匜身亦雕紐繩紋分隔，其內淺浮雕番蓮紋，平底，下承三如意雲頭小足。此器取形自東周青銅匜，而番蓮又有痕都斯坦風格，可謂古今東西合璧。 瑞士日內瓦鮑氏東方藝術館藏一件白玉番蓮紋仿古匜和本件極似，見P.F.
