A PALE GREEN AND RUSSET JADE INCISED 'LI BAI'S POEM' BEAD, LE Qing Dynasty (2)A PALE GREEN AND RUSSET JADE INCISED 'LI BAI'S POEM' BEAD, LEQing Dynasty Of hollow hexagonal tube form, incised and painted in gilt on each side with a line of seven-character poem in standard script, composed by the Tang dynasty poet Li Bai (701-762), the softly polished stone of even colour with amber striations, with a seal reading wenwan, box. 6cm (2 1/2in) long. (2).清 青白玉雕《對酒行》詩文玏According to legend, Li Bai was also known as jiuxian (wine immortal), for he took great joy in drinking and composed extensive poems on the subject, such as Bring in the Wine and Drinking Alone under the Moon. Compare with a Jin dynasty white jade incised sutra bead, illustrated in the Compendium of Collections in the Palace Museum: Jade 5, Beijing, 2011, no.265.青玉質,上下圓形,中間六面柱,每面陰刻詩文:「松子棲金華,安期入蓬海。此人古之仙,羽化竟何在。浮生速流電,倏忽變光彩。天地無凋換,容顏有遷改。對酒不肯飲,含情欲誰待。」刻印「文玩」。詩文為唐代李白之《對酒行》,詩仙李白酒名不在詩名之下,常以酒入詩,如《對酒行》《將進酒》《月下獨酌》等。本件玉玏形制取自宋金六面玏,刻以經文,可比較北京故宮藏一件金代白玉刻經文管,見《故宮博物館藏品大系·玉器編》,北京,2011年,卷5,編號265。
