A ROCK CRYSTAL CUP AND SAUCER Mid Qing Dynasty (3)A ROCK CRYSTAL CUP AND SAUCERMid Qing Dynasty The cup of deep U-shaped form, rising from a short tapered foot to an everted rim, one side carved in high relief with a dragon handle, the rim and lower body respectively bordered with friezes of key-fret and upright lappets; the saucer dish of crab-apple section, carved with shallow rounded sides decorated on the exterior with an upright lappet border encircling the similarly lobed foot, the clear crystal with faint inclusions, stand. Cup: 5cm (2in) high; saucer: 9.2cm (3 1/2in) wide.
