See also a white jade figure of drunk Li Bai, in the National Palace Museum, Taipei, acc.no.:000238N.取瑪瑙一塊圓雕一長袍長髯紋飾醉臥於一酒缸側,缸前浮雕方斗,底部鋌鑽山石。人物取料咖啡色處,缸為白色。此造型取材自太白醉酒之典故。李白,字太白,並稱詩仙及酒仙。李白天寶年間入宮侍奉翰林,常有酒後不羈之事,如酒後命高力士脫靴,故太白醉酒有品行高傲不事權貴之意。丘逢甲曾有詩吟詠太白醉酒:「天寶年間萬事非,祿山在外內楊妃。先生沉醉寧無意,愁看胡塵人帝畿。」可見其中寓意。可比較一件北京故宮藏清代碧玉雕太白醉酒水丞,見《故宮博物院藏文物珍品大系》,上海,2009年,頁201,編號190。另見台北故宮藏一件白玉太白醉酒,館藏編號000238N。
