Description A METAL CANDLE STICK OF BISHAMONTEN ON A DEVIL, MEIJIJapan, Meiji period (1868-1912). Cast from white metal with bronze and copper coating, modeled as Bishamonten (Vaisravana) standing atop a subdued demon. Bishamon is dressed in Tang dynasty style armor, holding his trident of which the top functions as a candle stick, looking down on the demon with a wrathful expression. The base with a manufacturers seal mark.Condition: Good condition, minor wear, casting flaws, few minor nicks, and traces of soldering.
