Description A TETSUBIN (IRON KETTLE) WITH SILVER INLAID BRONZE COVERJapan, Edo Period (1615-1868), the box dated 1837. Cast in iron and finished with a rough surface, the cylindrical body with recessed panels containing a rooster with flowers in raised relief, the reverse with lotus leaves, the bronze cover with a reticulated finial and silver inlaid moon and flowers.
