Description AN IMARI PORCELAIN THREE-CASE BOX WITH COVER, MEIJIJapan, Meiji period (1868-1912). Of circular form with domed cover, painted in underglaze blue, iron red, gold, and polychrome enamels above the glaze, decorated with lobed reserves depicting garden scenes with pavilions interspersed by floral sprays.Condition: Overall still good condition, the cover with a long hairline crack, few minuscule chips here and there, and dark spots.Provenance: Holzapfel collection, Geneva, Switzerland.
