A Qing Nepalese Revival Bronze Figure of Amitayus, 18th century, finely cast seated in padmasana on a triangular base, the serene face with some remains of gilding beneath the high jewelled chignon, H: 13.5cm.,good condition, apart from vase on lap broken off, and repaied area along lower front of plinth.Previously sold at Bonhams Knightsbridge, 10 May 2021, lot 367.Bonhams give the provenance that this was previously sold at Spink & Son Ltd., 7 August 1958.They further mention 'a very similar figure, considered an 18th century revival of the 11th century Newar style of casting..' which was sold at Bonhams New York, 14 March 2016, lot 46.
