A Xiangzhou figure moulded brown-splashed Box and Cover, late Tang dynasty, with glossy translucent greenish glaze, moulded on the cover with a person dressed in elegant robes, the eyes picked out in brown, and with three other brown spots on the feet and hat of the figure, the glaze covering the inside of both lid and box, while the tapered lower body and base are left unglazed, revealing the greyish body, Provenance: J.A.N.
