白玉籽料，淡褐色，受沁帶有深褐色沁斑。外圓內方的琮形玉雕，中間以三道凹痕區分為兩節，每節浮雕四隻小蟬，每隻小蟬刻畫一雙圓眼，背上則為兩隻翅膀，紋飾簡單、刀法俐落，具有生命力，顯見精湛工藝。 漢代是中國玉器史上極重要的階段，承襲了自古以來豐富的玉器文化，又再度變化與開創，藝術成就極高。如此件《漢代白玉蟬紋琮》，紋飾風格不同過往以抽象風格為主，轉而寫實，再利用浮雕技法呈現立體的現實感，高僅4公分，然雕琢十分精細，可見漢代玉器之風。
