A SILK EMBROIDERED DRAGON PANEL IN TWO-TONE GOLD, CHINA, 19TH CENTURY
Finely embroidered in satin stitch and two-color gold-wrapped thread with a ferocious five-clawed dragon writhing around a flaming pearl against a red ground. The coiled mythical beast with well detailed scales, bloodshot eyes, and wavy mane, amid colorful lingzhi-shaped clouds, its lower body partly obscuring the terrestrial diagram, crashing waves, and lishui stripe. Note the finely executed brocade border.


Provenance:
French trade.

Condition:
Excellent condition with only minor wear, a few loose threads, minuscule splits, and light soiling to the brocade frame. At the backside stapled to a carboard piece, but not laid down.

十九世紀刺繡雙色金線龍紋掛幅

紅地緞紋針和雙色金線精美刺繡，一條矯健五爪云龍，繞著一顆寳珠，龍鱗細緻，大眼圓睜，鬃毛呈波浪狀飛舞，五彩如意祥雲，龍身下方可見江崖麗水紋。

品相：
狀況極佳，僅有輕微磨損與線頭鬆脫、微小的裂痕以及錦框上的輕微污漬。背面釘在一塊紙板上。
